Born of a love for handmade design

Holly & Thistle began with an armful of foraged greenery and a drawer of treasured printed fabrics and textures. We wanted our homemade Christmas wreaths to feel individual, layered, joyful and a little extravagant.

And so did our friends… so we taught them how, turning impromptu gatherings into Christmas traditions that continue today. From here, Holly & Thistle was born – with backgrounds in design and interiors, we are passionate about exploring colour, heritage, texture and pattern through crafts – and each year we look forward to two months of sharing that excitement with others.

Making wreaths around a table with friends is absolutely the best way to start a Christmas season, enjoying a night of creativity, fun and laughter around a candlelit table, with mince pies, Christmas crooners and cocktails.
